Get Well Cup of Tea

 Thought:
"The smallest deed is better than the grandest intentions"-unknown
I am dedicating this blog post to my friend Irene :)
Irene is one of my stamping GF's.
For some time now, Irene has been battling the ugly "C"word.
She is such an inspiring, beautiful, and resilient lady!!
Did you ever just meet one of those people that you can immediately call friend? That's our girl Irene.
I am awful! I put it on my back burner to send Irene a card, so here is my virtual smallest deed ;)
Irene, when you are ready, we got a card to make!!
So here are the details:
I used my tag punch, and the Paisley Prints DSP to create a 'cup' of tea. The handle is made with the same DSP flipped to the other side. Punch a 1/2" circle out of this dsp, then layer the large oval punch over the circle and punch again creating the handle(trim as needed).  Punch a large oval and use for the saucer.  I used my pear pizzazz marker to draw a base on the saucer.

For the tea bag: I punched a lg tag in both vellum and 1 in early espresso cs. The 1 in espresso is torn and layered behind the vellum one. Sponge around the vellum to give it that used look.
Add a square piece if dsp, some bakers twine, and staple!
For the card base, I used a piece of river rock cs and stamped the swirly image from the baroque motifs in river rock ink to give off the effect of steam.
Add tea bag and saucer to card front.
For my sentiment, I used the triple layer punch in early espresso, a scallop oval in marina mist, the modern label punch in river rock cs, and a word window with the saying 'get well wishes' in espresso ink on whisper white cs, from our teeny wishes stamp set. Layer together:
Add all elements and your Finished!!

Love you Irene, keep up the fight!

Until Next Thought,

Kris
