  Wow! Wow! Wow!
I am absolutely thrilled to have been chosen for the stylish blogger award!
It is almost like winning an 'Oscar' at the Academy Awards for a stampin' gal;)
My acceptance speech:
First and foremost, I must thank the wonderful lady who nominated me for this award:
Pat at
In order to accept this award I have to tell you 8 things about myself!

So here is the recap for any of my 8 picks that find my crazy rambling too crazy to understand;)) Wow I really do sound like an acceptance speech at the Awards!
After receiving this award, I must do the following:

1) Thank the person who gave this award to me and link it back to their blog
2) Share 8 things about myself
3) Pass this award to 8 other individuals that I have recently discovered
4) Leave a comment on their blogs so that they can pass along the recognition!
OK, lastly, I need to go on each of my new inspiring stampers sites and have them know that I think they are all winners in our stamping world!!and then have them pass along an award of recognition to some other lucky stylish bloggers out there =D!!
Thanks again for the award Pat!
I gotta go because apparently I am taking up too much time and they are signaling to me that it is time to go to commercial!!

Cupcake Punch=Little potted plant Thank You

cupcake punch plant

I am so enjoying playing with my new cupcake punch!!
For  this little thank-you card I used my cupcake base and added a little plant!
Card Info:
The stamp sets I used were Always Elegant and Pocket Silhouettes.  My color combo is very vanilla, bashful blue and soft suede.
I stamped my image from Always Elegant on Very Vanilla CS.  I  stamped my image in Bashful Blue then turning it 180 and stamping again.  I did this to create a elegant background.  I thought it was pretty...what do you think?  I stamped my next image with Early Espresso ink on a piece of Very Vanilla CS. I stamped the image floating approximately 1inch from the bottom center of CS.  I added a piece of soft suede punched from the cupcake punch. I ran it through the SU! vintage wallpaper impressions folder and sponged with espresso ink.  I added a small strip of bashful blue cs across the flower pot and a small bashful blue circle,  from our itty bitty punch pack.  I used my mat pack pad and piercing tool to give the circle a little depth.  I did this by placing the circle on the soft pad and with the side of my piercing tool, roll circles toward the center.  The circle will start to curl up, and give you the shape of a little flower.Attach to the bashful blue strip.  Layer on a strip of soft suede cut with the scallop edge punch, and a piece of Bashful Blue cs. I stamped the saying 'thank you very much' from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set on the bottom right hand corner in Early Espresso ink.  Thought this would be a cute little thank-you note for my office girl friends, who are working their tails off right about now over at the accountants office=D April 15th is not soon enough for them!!

Hope you Enjoy this :D

Kris

The Big Easy....Chair!

The Big Easy....Chair
I know, what goes through my head?  Ever since I saw the cupcake punch, I saw a lampshade?  maybe that is because hubby is an electrician, I don't know...  LOL

So for my little living room setting: My card base is very vanilla with a piece of DSP from the nuetrals DSP pack.  I thought it looked a little like wallpaper? Not from my house, but Nana's maybe ;)  I stamped a scrap piece of sahara sand with our woodgrain stamp in espresso ink.  I punched a large oval out of that scrap to make my table top.  I sponged around the edges with espresso ink and cut a straight line of the bottom of the oval.  I also ran some of the woodgrain through the big shot with the rectangle clearlits die. I used my 1-1/4" square to create a frame, by punching a full and then a partial square inside the frame.  I stamped a piece of soft suede cs with the image from Create a Cupcake stamp set and punched with our coordinating Build a Cupcake Punch.  I used a thin piece of scrap as the pole to the lamp and a piece of soft suede that was punched with the round tab punch(this is actually the piece that is usually left behind-what a great way to use a scrap;)))!)  Piece these together and add to card front!

For the easy chair:  I used some very vanilla cs ran through the big shot and the dot emboss folder.  I cut out a modern label(the bottom edge trimmed straight0 from this, 2 small ovals, 2 half pieces of the large oval and 1 word window. I also used another piece of the woodgrain scrap (from the above described) as a top to my chair. I added a small scrap under the word window to give the seat a little more puff.  I pieced all pieces together and glued to my card front.

To finish off my frame: I used a piece of very vanilla cs that I had printed a saying from My Digital Studio from the Wishes and Greetings stamp set. I just substituted the word 'day' for 'memories this season'.  You could put whatever saying that you like though! I then lined the saying  in my clearlits rectangle die and ran through the big shot.
I stamped some of the flowers from the Create a Cupcake stamp set in sahara sand on this rectangular piece. I then put the frame over the words and attached to the wallpaper of my living room.  Here is my finished living room:

Hope you enjoyed and have a "Bright day!"

Kris

Eating More Chocolate;)) !

Eat Chocolate
 Happy Valentines Day!!

Got a little sidetracked with my posting again-sorry=)!
So fitting for valentines-CHOCOLATE!
Anyway, this is a card I made with the Eat Chocolate stamp set! I am really loving this set-so cute,so me;)
I have indeed foregone doing the laundry today!
This is a card idea(a bite out of chocolate) that has been going around for years, so I'm not sure whom to give a plug too;)
Of course, I needed to put my own fingerprint to it!
My base card stock is sahara sand.  This looks cute for both little hershey bars(I've used original and(as shown) special dark)~YUMMY!
oops, lost my train of thought.
The chocolate bar is a piece of chocolate chip cs,ran through the Big Shot with our texturz plate-perfect details, and sponged with chocolate chip ink.  I thought this looked a bit like a Hershey bar-what do ya think?
I took a big bite out of the corner with my scallop oval punch~YUMMY!
oops, lost my train of thought again! ;)
I wanted to make my top layer look a bit like a clipboard.I used a piece of bravo burgundy cs as my clip board.  I added an EMPTY(hmmm, wonder how that happened?) hershey wrapper folded over so I didn't smudge anymore chocolate than needed onto my card:0
My to-do list is a piece of ivory cs,stamped in chocolate chip ink.  Before stamping paper, I used my blender pen and 'erased' the check mark.  I then used bravo burgundy ink pen and markered on my stamp set to change the check marks color. I used the spiral border punch at the top of the to-do list.
I then adhered my to-do list to my clipboard and then clipboard to my chocolate bar.  I added a mini library clip to the top of my board.
Waaa lah!!

Hmmm there seems to be some smudges on my to-do list!!
Wonder how they got there?
I won't tell :D
I'm going to enter this card at the challenges: Just Add Ink #55
as well asPicture Perfect Creations
Hope you enjoy this card as well as your valentines day!
May you enjoy much chocolate,no laundry, and the dishes are done for you!

Until Next Thought,
Kris
