"Pretty Stocking Sweater"

Thought:Every girl needs a sweater;)
Another sweater, made with our new stocking punch!

So, as in my previous post, create your 'sweater'.
I used our concord crush ink. I added a pocket.
To do this, I used our jewelry tag punch and trimmed with my paper snips. And some pearls-cuz every girl need pearls!
For the skirt, I used 0ur 2-3/8" scallop circle punch with our in color concord crush dsp. I also used some of this dsp and our cupcake punch to create my purse bottom. I stamped another stocking and used our scallop oval and oval punch to create the flap and strap of my purse.

My card base is pear pizzazz cs. I layered a piece of very vanilla that I ran through my big shot with our new stripes embossing folder. I added a strip of concord crush dsp with a strip of peach parfait punched with our scallop ribbon punch, layered behind the dsp. I also used a strip of this peach to create a frame around my 'hello' circle.  This hello circle is stamped with concord crush on very vanilla cs and punched with our 1"circle punch. Add pearls:)

I also used this same stamp set to create a peach parfait flower.  I stamped a peach parfait houndstooth flower on peach parfait cs, and then punched with our fancy flower punch.
Finish:
Hope you like this one too!!

"Stocking" Sweaters

For Baby

Ahh, the new mini catalog is here and in it: the stocking punch!!
I just absolutely love our punches!
I am always thinking for ways to use our punches.
Here is one I came up with that I hope you will enjoy :)
My thought: if you put 2 of these stockings together it could look like a sweater?
So, of course, I had to play;))
I stamped several stockings in our new in-color 'pool party'.
oh, let me put them together and see how they would look as that sweater. Well, duh Kris, one of them has to be a mirror image!
So, back to the stamping board ;).
To make my mirror image, I knew I had to pull an old trick out of my sleeve:)
I stamped my image, then used an old solid stamp and kissed the 2 together.  This will give me my mirror image.
"stamp,stamp"
"kiss,kiss"

"mirror, mirror"
Now, you know what to do,right?
"Huff" on this mirror image stamp and stamp on our whisper white cs.
other 'half' of pair of stockings
Ok punch out and enjoy,right??
LOL...not so fast.
In order to punch it has to be the opposite side.
So, I place my image up to my light and outline the stocking:

Now, I can punch out my mirrored stocking :))
punch, punch :)

Now, I put my socks together to form a sweater.
sock,sock
I trim the sleeves and circle punch the neckline.
I made 2 little booties using the same stamp and a little bonnet as well(with the wide oval punch)
I ran all these through my Big Shot and the square lattice embossing folder.
Add pearls and a (non SU!)wooden hanger for my little sweater.
bootie,bootie

sweater and bonnet
For the rest of my card:
Base is so saffron cs,layered with pool party cs,and a piece of dsp from our neutrals dsp paper pack.
I used our absolutely gorgeous new vanilla velvet ribbon.
And using the bigz oval die and our new textured impressions designer frames embossing folder, created a frame for my saying from our occasions alphabet stamp set. Add pearls, here and there...
Put these all together for my finished product!!
Finish, Finish!!
Hope you enjoy!

Until Next Thought,
Kris
