Hoo Hoo Hoo Merry Christmas!

Hoo Hoo Hoo Merry Christmas!!!

Stamp Sets: Many Merry Messages and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Colors: Whisper white, Cherry Cobbler,Old Olive, sahara sand, naturals white
Accessories: Big Shot,Petals a plenty Embossing Folder,Perfect Details Texturz Plate, white frost shimmer Paint(mixed with rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle),basic black 5/8" satin ribbon, ornament, heart, dotted scallop ribbon border and owl punches, love letters DSP, white gel pen,Stamp-a-ma-jig

This card is a spin off of one of my earliest Santa suits.  I used a basic card size(4-1/4x5-1/2) of cherry cobbler and textured using my big shot, spritzed my cs with shimmer mixture(see above) and the petals a plenty EF.  I love the de-bossed side for Santas suit but you may choose whichever you like;).  I punched out several hearts(6whole)and used my edges to punch out partial hearts-they make up Santas mustache.  Love using every bit of my card stock.  It is a fetish-I just have to find a use for it;).  I punched the owl in sahara sand and his belly is the DSP from love letters. White and black eyes with a fleck of white gel pen-makes them come alive;). I punched an ornament in white and used old olive from the inside of Santas belt to punch out the top of the ornament.  Oh by the way did I tell you what a pain it was to make that belt buckle? -I really do need smaller nesting square punches!  I stamped "merry Christmas" from teeny tiny wishes in cherry cobbler and and the "Ho" 3times from 'Ho'liday in the merry many messages set. I went back using the stamp-a-ma-jig and added my extra 'O' (O for what a pain that was! LOL-I should have just wrote it in but wanted it to be more 'demo-quality' looking;)  I used cherry cobbler marker to add dots on my ornament. oooh what am I forgetting? Belt is a strip of black satin ribbon and trim on suit is a piece of white punched from dotted scallop ribbon punch.  Layer your hearts, I started from the center bottom to give his beard a more fluffy effect and added my owl at the end(just didn't go too crazy with the adhesive on that side of his beard;).  Adhere all other pieces..and hoo hoo you got yourself an owl and santa card;)
This guy was pretty popular in Baltimore-wish I had made like 100 to share with all my fellow demos;)!
Hope I got all my thoughts down?and

Sweet Treats

Sweet Treats Card

Stamp Sets: Make a Monster, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Colors:  Basic black,Concord Crush,Real Red,Old Olive,Peach parfait
Accessories: Spider Web impressions folder, brayer, circle punches, itty bitty punch pack, small oval punch, concord crush 1/2in poly stitched ribbon,crop-a-dile,white gel pen, curvy label punch

This is a card I created for swaps at our Stampin" Up regionals'  in Baltimore,MD.  To start with I brayered basic black ink on my impressions pad(the flat slide).  I cut a piece of Concord Crush card stock(4 1/4x5 1/2),placed it in my foder and ran through my big shot.  What an awesome effect!  I love how the concord pops out from the black.  Pretty cool, huh? Allow time to dry.  In the mean time, I made a punch art spider and bug. For the bug, I first stamped the face from the 'make a monster' set on peach parfait cs. I used my white gel pen to color his eyeballs and teeth.  I then used my 1/2in circle punch, centering over face, and punched out.  I punched a small oval in peach parfait for the bugs body.  I wrapped the bug in concord crush ribbon to resemble a bug caught in the webbing.  For my spider, I stamped the fangs from the make a monster set on black CS and used the crop-a-dile to punch out two eyeballs.  I placed a real red circle under the black3/4in circle to give the appearance of red eyes. I made black circles in the eyes and a small white highlight, also.  For his body, I punched out the 'x-shaped' bitty punch, and also placed a 1in circle behind.  I know black widows have an hour glass design but thought this punch looked cute:)  For his(or her) legs,  I used the curvy label punch and just slid it a small bit each time, cutting out 4 times(to give the appearance of legs).  I stamped the "sweet treats" saying from teeny tiny wishes set on peach parfait and cut out with the word window punch.  I layered the saying on black, concord and olive cs punched with the modern label punch. I adhered all my elements onto the now dry spider web:D  I just thought this would be such a cute idea and I think it came together well.

And using the same technique for the web,  I also created this "Dark and Dreary"card.

Such a cool effect and a "Sweet Treat"!!!
