Uncle Sam meet the SU! cupcake punch!

Happy Independence Day America!!
This is a card I made to celebrate our glorious country, as well as our brave men and women whom protect us everyday!
If you may have not noticed by now, I have a 'thing' for my cupcake punch!
Well, maybe, I have a 'thing' for all my punches ;)
I am always trying to imagine what else you can make out of these shapes,so here is what I came up with:

 Uncle Sam!!
Now imagine all the possibilities, huh? I'm already thinking leprechaun and the bride of Frankenstein!!
Well, let me tell you the rest of this card in case you want to CASE him ;).  The card base is in whisper white. I ran it through our Big Shot and our dots embossing folder(what did I ever do before this? Life was soooo 1-dimensional!) I added a strip of night of night of navy card stock, edged with our eyelet border punch and faux stitched with our white gel pen, and a strip of DSP from our nautical expeditions pack.  Above it, I tied a knot with our 1-1/4"striped grosgrain ribbon. I cut this in half and frayed the edge with my scissors.  I used our NEW!!! pennant stamp set and punch in cherry cobbler and night of navy to create my flags, and a piece of out cherry cobbler bakers twine for the mast?(don't know what you call the rope on a flagpole-do you? lol)
For Uncle Sam, he is a 1' circle punch in very vanilla cs sponged with some pretty in pink ink.  His nose is actually the cherry from our cupcake punch with the stem trimmed off of course! Isn't that nose just too cute? LOVE it! I used my thin edge of our markers in basic black to draw in Sam's expression. I used the top or 'icing part of the cupcake for his beard and, as shown in above pictures, a piece of whisper white cs,with some scrap strips of real red(see, this is why you save those scraps!! The brim of his hat is another scrap of night of navy that was cut with our dotted scallop ribbon punch, and just cut in half.
Have a blessed and safe holiday!!

Until Next Thought,
Kris
